The past few days have been filled with setting up texture on several different size canvas. Still have a bit more I want on some, but overall I am done and am excited to start a new path/ look. Lucky me, a friend stopped painting and gave me all her paints! So, I have a lot of colours to play with. Want to do something different, mix my colours and urban look. Texture, numbers, and prints will be my main focus. My inspiration is from the beach boxes I love so much, which the Mornington Peninsula is famous for. I have photographed so many, just a clip here and there, focusing more on the texture, colours, and the more weathered look of some. And just simply from my many travels up and down the mornington peninsula with my camera in hand.
Here is my first try at mixing my two passions, i am sure as i continue to explore i will progress.
TITLE: "Days Go Passed” MEDIUM: ACRYLIC ON CANVAS DIMENSIONS: 30x30x1.5" (76.2x76.2x4cm)
This painting comes from a day i spent alone at Sorrento Back Beach when the tide was out, and boy was it. I was so far out it was simply amazing. I added the music sheets because standing there listening to the birds, the boom of the wave hitting the land and then the spray of the wave landing right in front of me... was nature's music.
