This painting is inspired by my visit to Fort Nepean, which is a former defensive facility occupying part of Point Nepean, Victoria, Australia. It was part of a network of fortifications, commanded from Fort Queenscliff, protecting the narrow entrance to Port Phillip. I spent a good part of the day walking the halls, and bunkers, whose walls are smooth neutral tones filled with vast texture throughout.
Take a hint from this visitor of the Fort, don't miss the last shuttle out, that is one long walk back to the parking lot. hahahaha
